Finding the right drug and alcohol rehab or treatment center, can be the critical difference in a person successfully recovering. Most people who abuse alcohol and drugs need a significant amount of help to successfully overcome this serious, life-debilitating problem. The goal, according to Dr. Frank, is to empower the alcohol and drug dependent individual and their family with the skills, knowledge and tools for building new, happier lives in recovery from alcohol and drug abuse.

Dr. Frank has his doctorate in Philosophy and Psychology, specializing in the alcohol and drug addiction field. A very gifted teacher, motivator and lecturer, Dr. Frank is an award-winning therapist and considered to be a pioneer in the alcohol and drug abuse field. His compassionate, client oriented approach has positively impacted thousands of alcohol and drug addicted people and their families. He brings his own unique brand of insight to his practice. Dr. Frank Mattiace is a dedicated therapist, helping both individuals and their families find freedom from alcohol and drug abuse and its far-reaching, negative consequences. His goal is to help them find the right drug and alcohol rehab or treatment center.

As a former professional athlete and coach, Dr. Frank knows what it takes to overcome a tough opponent like alcohol and drug abuse, be successful and win.

With over 10 year’s of real time experience, Dr. Frank has worked in a variety of capacities, including being the director of a drug and alcohol treatment center. Dr. Frank also founded an alternative high school program for alcohol and drug addicted teens. Currently, he is the executive director of New Pathways Counseling Center, a state of the art alcohol and drug abuse outpatient facility.

As a therapist, Dr. Frank is very successful in treating alcohol and drug abuse. He is also quite accomplished in the science of helping those who suffer from a dual diagnosis. Dual diagnosis, now known as co-occurring disorder, is when a person has both an alcohol and drug abuse problem and psychological mood disorder. He discovered so many alcohol and drug dependent people also had a psychological mood problem. These problems can include depression, anxiety, ADD, anger, bi-polar disorder and others. After seeing this real life connection between the two issues, Dr. Frank soon realized people were using drugs and alcohol to try and self-medicate and self-soothe their internalized pain. In addition, he saw exactly how they were using alcohol and drugs in an attempt to escape from and fill a void and emptiness within themselves.

Dr. Frank knows how to help families and friends with the awkward and often difficult process of getting a reluctant individual into drug and alcohol rehab with what is known as a family intervention.
