With over 10 year’s of real time experience, Dr. Frank has worked in a variety of capacities, including being the director of a drug and alcohol treatment center. Dr. Frank also founded an alternative high school program for alcohol and drug addicted teens. Currently, he is the executive director of New Pathways Counseling Center, a state of the art alcohol and drug abuse outpatient facility.

As a therapist, Dr. Frank is very successful in treating alcohol and drug abuse. He is also quite accomplished in the science of helping those who suffer from a dual diagnosis. Dual diagnosis, now known as co-occurring disorder, is when a person has both an alcohol and drug abuse problem and psychological mood disorder. He discovered so many alcohol and drug dependent people also had a psychological mood problem. These problems can include depression, anxiety, ADD, anger, bi-polar disorder and others. After seeing this real life connection between the two issues, Dr. Frank soon realized people were using drugs and alcohol to try and self-medicate and self-soothe their internalized pain.
